Khasiat Dan Manfaat Buah-Buahan Alami Bagi Tubuh Manusia - Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat

Buah adalah salah satu jenis makanan yang memiliki kandungan gizi, vitamin dan mineral yang pada umumnya sangat baik untuk dikonsumsi setiap hari. Dibandingkan dengan suplemen obat-obatan kimia yang dijual di toko-toko, buah jauh lebih aman tanpa efek samping yang berbahaya serta dari sisi harga umumnya jauh lebih murah dibanding suplemen yang memiliki fungsi yang sama.

Di bawah ini kita dapat melihat kandungan, khasiat dan manfaat sehat dari beberapa jenis buah yang ada di bumi :

1. BUAH TOMAT (TOMATO)
- tomat mengandung vitamin A, B1 dan C.
- tomat dapat membantu membersihkan hati hati dan darah kita.
- tomat dapat mencegah beragam penyakit dan gangguan kesehatan lain seperti :
a. gusi berdarah.

Healthy Eating/Activity 101: Baby Steps (my prespective)

This is all in my opinion. Taken from many sources and awesome people. I am not a doctor or expert. Just someone who has struggled with weight and healthy eating....

One Rule to Live By

EAT LESS, MOVE MORE

If you are like me, sometimes its hard to get going. or to stay at it. But I believe, even if its not instant results, that baby steps could be the key to an eventual change in your diet, and overall health.

START SMALL

Less is more.

When making a sandwich, use half the mayo (etc) that you usually use. Most likely you know what is bad for you, but staring off with moderation can help dramatically. Instead of 3 strips of bacon, try 2 or one cut up. Or try turkey bacon. its not that bad and can satisfy the taste.

Drink one less soda, or sugar drink than normal. get the packets for water bottles and drink more water. Plain water is best but hey.. one step at a time.

SUBSTITUTE
I find that if i cant ignore a craving or a favorite food, I sub for something very similar. I eat Smart Balance peanut butter because there are no hydrogenated oils in it. in stead of regular peanut butter. I also use their butter, when I have to use butter. For a taste of chocolate, there is a chocolate peanut butter (in another post of mine) that is really good and not as bad for you as .. a chocolate candy bar. Get fruit instead of fries when you go out. get grilled instead of fried. egg whites instead of whole eggs.. etc. For instance, I make my lasagna with whole wheat noodles. You cant tell the difference after the flavors combine while baking. I also season extra lean ground turkey meat in stead of using beef. OR i will just use less beef. If you have a problem eating veggies, this is a great way to add it. If you mince, or puree the veggies and add to the sauce you cant tell they are in there. And I like to eat a salad with it. yum i love me some salad.

APPRECIATE
Focus instead on appreciating the flavors of foods. Especially when substituting. Try not to think of the difference of wheat versus white pasta, think of it as separate things.

if you are gong to go out to eat, grab a handful of baby carrots or some broccoli on your way out, and eat them on the way. Since you wont be as starving you probably will eat less. Even if its a little. Plus you will be getting a serving of veggies in. When you get there. Be aware of what your getting. look for hidden calories, like soy sauce or blue cheese or honey mustard, salt, mayo etc.

Actual Steps
When you go to the store, park farther away. Even if its 5 spaces down, thats more steps. Walk the whole store around before you buy something, leave from the opposite side so you get more steps. or just pick one, and next time add another few spaces.. etc. When getting the mail, walk around the yard first, or even better, down the street to the corner first or around the block. Come on.. you can do one block.

Every time you go to the store, even for one thing, get another veggie or fruit. Or as soon as you get into the store, buy a fruit or veggie and eat it. might help you buy less junk if your not as hungry.

When buying groceries, get one less bag of chips, or when you get to the counter, give one junk back to the cashier. One less is a lot. And

If you have a lot of "bad" food, or trigger food for you, give it away or have a lot of people over for diner and make a lot. So you have less to taunt you later on.

NO MORE BORROWING CLOTHES
I know your own clothes might now fit as well as you like, but wearing your hubbys big T around the house, or even to bed is just too comfy. Wear something nice or closer fitting to bed. if you wear a nightie thats not big ruffles or something your great gramma gave you, you will feel better even if you are over weight. Come on, you cant feel sexy in 4x tshirt, or night gown that has cows or bunnies on it. Dont be frumpy. wake up feeling a lil better. ( I hate lingerie but wearing a house dress' just brings my mood down, and i end up feeling lazy.. weird i know)

WAKE UP
as soon as you get out of bed, Put on some clothes. REAL CLOTHES not your husbands gym shorts or your sweat pants. Its not flattering and you wont feel good in them. Or take a shower first. If you have it, put some makeup on, even just foundation. I would like to be a big feminist and say "wtf!? I dont have to wear makeup to feel good" but the truth is, i think I feel better when my face is on. It smooths out my skin and i cant see all the redness or lines or bumps etc. I just feel better. Besides, if i only put on makeup when I go out in public, or go on a date (lol like i go on dates!) It sends a message that I am not worth it to just wear it for me. Or that strangers are more important than my family or husband.


DO SQUAT
literally, do squats. they are the best (i've heard) for thighs and to lift and tighten your butt. After you brush your teeth, or take the garbage out, or get up from watchin tv. OR during commercials. If you have a treadmill, use it while you watch your favorite show.

DRESS THE PART
I have found I work out best, or feel better when i wear actual work out clothes. I feel better going to the gym, so I workout more, or more efficiently.

TAME THE BEAST
Shave. Yeah, it seems simple enough. But I get lazy and dont feel like it. but when i do, I automatically feel better. Also, if you know how (i dont) do your hair. even just brushing it or putting it up. To some that might seem like an obvious, but if you are a stay at home mom, or work at home, or have several days off it can seem unnecessary. But dont cheat yourself. You will feel better if you do it. Feeling better about anything is just as important as eating right and exercising.

GREEN IS THE KEY
Eating richly colored veggies and fruit means more nutrition. look at your food.. is it colorful? If not, its probably not good for you. Add one bright food to your meal. And im not talking about skittles.

Get off your butt.
Obviously the more you sit/inactive you are, the less you are moving and burning calories. Most likely your body is accustomed to the activity you are already doing, so doing your regular activities your aren't burning anything. its more maintaining. So clean a few more times, or wash the outside of the house.. pick up garbage on your street.. go to park with your kids or neices and nephews. thats a plus plus situation.

BLINDED BY THE LIGHT
Go outside. Yes, i know its hot, and I dont want to either, but being outside in the light is good for you. All around good for you. Not only do you get to breath fresh air (unless your in LA) and away from the air conditioning, which could be giving you allergies and makes your hair limp.. but you are in the sun and that is good. They say that 2 hours outside a day is good for you (wear sunblock) but the sun light helps you absorb vitamin D which a lot of people are deficient in. especially those up north because of covering up more in the cold etc.

Maybe instead of a bbq at the house, you invite the whole family to the park and have a field day. Yo ucan bring watermelon or fruits..Do tug of war, or relay races, or play hide n seek with the neighbors. Oh wait.. adults call it 'man hunt' right? lol who cares, just get outside and have fun. have a pool party, if you dont have a pool go to a community pool.


I know it may seem overwhelming if you are starting out, but try one thing at a time and add gradually from there. The point of this site is to change and inspire your life. Not a quick diet to fit in a dress. Diets dont work. Choose diet as a noun. not a verb. dont go ON a diet, CHANGE your diet. Simple as that. little things make a big difference.

I wish everyone the best, and I try to practice what I preach. Although its as hard for me as it is to you, and it does get better. it does get easier. If you are new to this site, and need inspiration, you came to the right place. there are a lot of people on here that know what they are talking about, and if not, they are here to talk.

Please add your own knowledge and keep it going. I am not weight loss guru but I know what works for me. and lots of others can get overwhelmed. just Try it.

you can also try affirmations. Post on the mirror that you CAN DO THIS. You can make a difference. One failure ( two or three) can not hold you back. You are worth it. Your kids are worth it. Your family is worth it.

REWARD YOURSELF
Using non food rewards is an excellent way to make you feel better without feeling counter productive. Going to the salon, getting your toes done. Which by the way feels great! Getting new exercise clothes (especially in a smaller size!) helps you to appreciate your body. Even on a budget the little things matter.

If you are on a tight budget (like myself ) buying clear nail polish, a buffer, and nail file can make all the difference. Clear nail polish you can wear with anything, and once you buff and file them down, you paint them and feel like you went to a salon. You can soak your fingers in olive oil, which softens the cuticles and makes it feel better. who doesnt feel better with at least clear polish? ive never been the girly girl type but even i notice the difference. So touch up the roots with a little dye if thats your thing, get the curling iron out or finger twist your hair after the shower.. just play around with it. Learn to appreciate your body and not focus on the negative. if you have short hair (which i envy!) get some hair gel or clay or mouse whatever.. and go crazy. Even at home it is nice to do something different.

If you have a group of girls who is working out or just friends with that you can do things with, get together and have a girls night in, get a movie or a great chick flik (after a good workout, and less fat popcorn of course!)

Rewarding your self doesnt have to just be for exercising, if you are proud of how you cleaned the house, or mowed the grass, or if you finally cleaned out the garage etc, its good to treat yourself.

I have even thought of making myself a chart with the gold stars lol. Hey.. i am a visual person, and seeing the progress could be a reward in itself.
